OriGene Academic Press

Who we are

OriGene Academic Press is the scholarly publishing imprint of OriGene Biosolutions, a life-science research and training organisation based in Salem, Tamil Nadu. It publishes peer-reviewed, open access journals and academic books — edited volumes, monographs and textbooks, and practical training manuals — with transparent editorial processes, Crossref DOIs and permanent online archiving.

We believe good research should be easy to publish honestly and easy to find afterwards. Our journals use double-blind peer review and publish all articles open access under CC BY 4.0. Our books are peer reviewed at the proposal stage and again as chapters or complete manuscripts, and carry ISBNs and Crossref DOIs. We follow the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Editorial decisions on books are made by the Press's editors on the advice of independent reviewers. The publisher's office manages agreements, production, ISBNs, DOIs and payments, and has no role in decisions on individual proposals, chapters or manuscripts; payment information is never shown to editors or reviewers. When the director or an editor is an author or editor of a book, that book is handled by someone else.

The Press is funded by book and journal publishing charges, book sales and the support of OriGene Biosolutions. It receives no funding from organisations that could influence what it publishes.
